DECEMBER IS HERE, and that means so is the holiday season! We’re looking forward to it just as much as you, which is why we got our team together to share some of our favorite holiday traditions!
Traditions That Make The Season Great
Sheri, Billing Specialist
Growing up, every year we received a handmade bead ornament from my Grandma. I received my first one in 1976. We could not wait to receive the package in the mail and we always begged to open it before Christmas. Of course, every year we did so we could enjoy them on the tree. My five kids were all lucky enough to receive at least one ornament from her. The tradition ended in 20003 after 27 years when Grandma could no longer do them. We still each year decorate with these ornaments. They bring back such happy memories.

Christmas Eve we would watch Christmas movies and play games. Christmas morning we go to my sister’s house to watch the kids open presents and eat eggs Benny. I also do an ugly sweater party with friends.
Heather, Receptionist
I love watching classic Christmas movies with Apple Cider and listening to Christmas music while decorating the tree. Other traditions include eating the popcorn tubs and driving around to look at Christmas lights.

When I was a child, we would wake up early Christmas morning about 4 or 5 a.m. and then get our parents up so we could open the gifts and then spend the entire day visiting our cousins to see what presents they received. As an adult with little children we tire our kids out on Christmas Eve so they won’t want to wake up early. We start by having dinner and a program at my parent’s home. The program consists of reading of the Christmas story with our children and cousins acting out the parts as we read them. We then sing Christmas songs and play games before heading out to look at Christmas lights. Once the little ones are asleep, we head home.
What Are Your Traditions?
We’ve shared our traditions with you, but we’d love to hear about yours! Is there a special way you and your family exchange presents? Are there treats you make only at this time of year? Is there a trip you always go on? Whatever it is, we can’t wait to hear about it. Tell us about your favorite holiday traditions on Facebook and have a wonderful season!
