WITH VALENTINE’S DAY this month, we’re all thinking about the people we love. A few of our team members wanted to take this opportunity to share with you what they love so much about working in the practice.
I really enjoy my job at the front desk – I work with a great team and our patients are wonderful. I love this office because I know how dedicated we all are to making each patient’s vision a priority – I love how many patients we see and the differences we can make.
I love my job. Not only do I get to work with amazing people, I also get to meet new people every day. I love building those relationships with our patients. Another main part I love is learning new things every day and getting the opportunity to help our patients better their vision.
I love being an optician for so many reasons, but the most I love are the people. Every single person that comes through our door, brings a story with them. And those that choose to share, as we try on frames and laugh at crazy colors, are what bring me home with a smile on my face.
I absolutely love what I do each day. I love interacting with each patient. I love helping people see clearly. I love making a difference in their lives. I recently had the opportunity to share my ‘why’ with my employees during team training. Why do I come into work every day? Why do I want to grow my practice? Here is what I shared:
Impact my patients positively – I want to impact my patients in positive outcomes and increase the number of people I have the opportunity to impact for good.
Impact my employees positively – I want to help my employees reach toward their full potential. I want them to feel and see their growth and progression and the ability they have to provide for themselves as they increase their skills and level of service to our patients and I want to see them elevate themselves so that they not only have a positive impact on our patients, other co-workers and myself as the owner, but to especially see them have a positive impact on their own families.
Positively impact my own family– to allow myself to get out of debt and provide for my family so that I can be there for them. I want to make a positive impact on my children while they are young, creating memories of family togetherness, helping them to build positive self-images and build strong character filled with integrity as they grow into adulthood.
Impact my community for good – I want to create a legacy of doing good and have a positive impact on the surrounding community within my realm of influence such as through Rotary and church service.
We’ve told you what we love about our jobs, but what about you? We’d love to hear about where you work and what you enjoy about it, so share with us in the comments or on Facebook!
